Overview of Services

Career Services is here to assist you as you prepare your students for their future careers. Partnerships between faculty/staff and Career Services will allow us to combine our strengths and resources to benefit our students. Overview of Services

Career Services offers many programs and services to assist students and WSC graduates with all phases of their job search.

Job Search Assistance: The Career Services staff are available to assist students organize their job search, locating employment resources, developing effective resumes, cover letters and proper interviewing techniques. The office maintains a variety of resources within the office as well as online to assist with the job search process. Learn More

Resume Review/Assistance: Students may bring in a draft of their resume or cover letter and a staff member will review it within 48 hours. Publications and handouts are also available to help students get started on their resumes and cover letters. View Samples and Styles

Mock Interviews: Scheduled throughout the year, we give students a chance to practice their interview skills. Professionals from area businesses and schools come to campus to conduct the mock interviews throughout the academic year providing students with constructive feedback.

Handshake Online Job Board: Students and alumni are welcome to review the new job opportunities received each week listing local, state, regional, and national employment. Positions include full-time, part-time, and internship opportunities. Use Handshake

Career Fairs: The Career Services staff is actively involved in the development and hosting of several career fairs, both on and off campus. These events provide all students (and faculty) opportunities to learn about various industries, employers and opportunities. The contacts made at the fairs often times leads to interviews for full-time careers, Internships or part-time jobs. Learn More
