Upcoming Total Solar Eclipse: April 8, 2024

On April 8, 2024, there will be a total eclipse of the Sun that passes over the continental United States, the last such eclipse to do so until 2044. Learn about this eclipse and many other mysteries of the Universe at the Fred G. Dale Planetarium - your gateway to everywhere!

In the lobby of the planetarium, solar glasses for looking at the Sun are for sale - $2 for a pair of glasses or $5 for three pairs of glasses. NEVER look at the Sun without using proper solar glasses.

A presentation about the eclipses is also available for your family, business, school, or community group gathering. The presentation can be tailored for any age. If you are interested in having Dr. Young present this talk to your group, please contact him directly at [email protected].

General information about planetarium shows:

Planetarium shows generally include a tour of the current night sky, a view of the constellations, and a fulldome video.

All shows last about 45 minutes. If you wish to book a private planetarium show, please visit the main planetarium page for more information and to contact the planetarium for a reservation.

And while at the planetarium, please feel free to ask about some of the other wonderful stops and shops here in Wayne, America!
