David Peitz

Dr. David Peitz is a professor of chemistry at Wayne State College. He is also the advisor of the Health Science Club at WSC and the contact for the RHOP pharmacy program. Before coming to Wayne State, Peitz taught for two years at Minot State University in Bottineau, N.D. Before that, he served as director of laboratory operations at Quality Management and Analytical Services Inc. in Walhalla, N.D. He was the chair of the Nebraska Academy of Sciences for 2013-14. He has been a member of the American Chemical Society since 1990.

Peitz has also written publications that he has presented over the years at many Midwest regional meetings of the American Chemical Society, at the Biennial Conference on Chemical Education, and at the Nebraska Academy of Sciences.

Peitz researches novel arene chromium complexes and chemical education. He primarily teaches organic chemistry and general physical science classes.
