Chris Tee Weixelman

Chris Tee Weixelman is an associate professor of education at Wayne State College. She is a member of the Assessment Overview Committee and the President's Council on Diversity.

Before teaching at WSC, Weixelman taught all levels, from preschool to high school. She's been located in Northeastern Colorado; Southwestern Colorado; Albuquerque; Sioux City, Iowa; and Macy, Neb. She taught a variety of subjects, including Spanish, biology, journalism, computer and marketing.

She is also a member of the International Literacy Association.

Academic Interests
Weixelman's teaching interests are professional education in a diverse society and introduction to P-12 instruction. Her research interests include early childhood literacy, especially vocabulary and oral language development, multiculturalism and diversity, and ESL.
