Timothy Garvin

Dr. Timothy Garvin is the department chair of the Computer Technology and Information Systems Department and teaches computer courses at Wayne State College. Before teaching at WSC, Dr. Garvin was the coordinator of the Nebraska Business Development Center Office from 1984 to 1986.

Dr. Garvin received the Small Business Institute Award for outstanding supervision/mentoring of student projects in 1993 and 1994, and was a co-recipient of the Delta Sigma Pi Outstanding Faculty Member Award in 1990.

Academic Interests
Dr. Garvin's teaching and research interests include management information systems (MIS), project management, electronic commerce, emerging technologies, creativity, management of innovation, systems analysis/design, information technology leadership, and the use of management science tools in decision support.
