National Association of Schools of Music (NASM)
The School of Arts and Humanities, Department of Music, is accredited by NASM, the national accreditation agency for music and music-related disciplines. NASM is an association of approximately 625 schools of music, primarily at the collegiate level, but also including postsecondary non-degree-granting schools of music.
Following a comprehensive evaluation process that began in 2017, during NASM’s 2019 Commission meeting, Wayne State College was granted renewal of Membership with the next full review scheduled for the 2026-2027 Academic Year. Membership includes the following degree programs:
- Bachelor of Arts in Music (General, Music Industry, Performance)
- Bachelor of Arts in Music Education (Field Endorsement in Vocal and Instrumental K-12, Vocal K-12)
- Bachelor of Science in Music (General, Music Industry, Performance)
