Nicholas Shudak, Ph.D.

"These are exciting times at Wayne State College to prepare for a professional career in education, human service, and counseling. Our School of Education and and Behavioral Sciences offers students multiple nationally accredited programs (CAEP, CACREP) from which to study at the undergraduate and graduate levels. For students interested in teacher education, you will learn from top scholars who understand the premier importance of clinical practice and preparation through the sequential integration of research-based coursework with fieldwork. Our human service program also offers undergraduate students the opportunity to learn from exemplars in the field as they prepare for a professional career serving people and their communities in rich and varied ways. The School of Education and Behavioral Sciences also offers students unique and convenient opportunities to study education, leadership, and counseling through advanced degree programs at the master and specialist levels. At Wayne State College, our School of Education and Behavioral Sciences prepares students at multiple degree levels to serve and improve the lives our students, schools, and the members of our broader communities."

About Dr. Shudak

Dr. Shudak began at Wayne State in the summer of 2017. He previously served as an associate professor and chair of the Division of Curriculum and Instruction in the School of Education at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, S.D. He also served for four years as the chair of the Division of Education and the director of the Department of Teacher Education at Mount Marty College in Yankton, S.D. While there, he directed the Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction program.
