Merit Scholarships
Awards for first-year students with strong academic performance in high school.
Neihardt Scholars Program
Amount: Full tuition renewable for four years, renewable double occupancy room waiver, and $500 annual stipend.*
Eligibility Requirements: Must have an ACT of at least 25 or an SAT of at least 1200, and have a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale for six semesters. Program offers special classes and advising. Must maintain a 3.25 GPA to renew.

Presidential Scholarship
Amount: Full tuition renewable for four years.*
Eligibility Requirements: Must have an ACT score of at least 30 or an SAT of at least 1390. Must maintain a 3.25 GPA to renew.

Leadership Award
Amount: Double occupancy room waiver for one year, renewable up to two years.
Eligibility Requirements: For students who are very active in high school leadership and plan to continue that involvement in college. Must maintain a 2.0 to renew.

Education Matters Scholarship
Amount: $4,000 annual tuition award renewable up to four years.
Eligibility Requirements: All students who have demonstrated academic success, have made a commitment to extensive high school involvement, and other significant leadership and volunteer opportunities will be considered. Must maintain a 3.0 GPA to renew.

Annual and Endowed Scholarships
Amount: Varies.
Eligibility Requirements: Criteria varies. Over 200 types of individual scholarships are available from the WSC Foundation for students who meet the scholarship criteria. Complete your scholarship application through our Award Management system to find out which annual and endowed scholarships you qualify for.

Rural Health Opportunities Program (RHOP)
Amount: Full tuition while students are enrolled at WSC.* Automatic acceptance to UNMC.
Eligibility Requirements: For students from rural areas of Nebraska who demonstrate academic potential and a desire to practice medical laboratory science, dental hygiene, dentistry, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy, physician assistant, or radiography in rural Nebraska. Rural Law Opportunities Program (RLOP)
Amount: Full tuition while students are enrolled at WSC.* Automatic acceptance to University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Law.

NSCS Board of Trustees Scholarship
Amount: Full tuition renewable for four years.*
Eligibility Requirements: Must be a Nebraska resident with an ACT of at least 25 or an SAT of at least 1200. Must maintain a 3.25 GPA to renew.

Nebraska Access Scholarship Program
Amount: Reduces non-resident tuition to resident rates.
Eligibility Requirements: Available to non-resident full-time students. Must be in upper 1/2 of high school class, or have a 3.25 GPA, or an ACT of at least 22, or an SAT of at least 1100. Must maintain a 3.0 GPA to renew.
Growing Together Career Scholars Program (Cooperative Education Scholarship)
Amount: $24,000 over four years at WSC
Eligibility Requirements: Must be a new freshmen and committed to remain in Northeast Nebraska. Must pursue one of the eligible degree programs in the fields of business administration, information technology, mass communication, or industrial technology.

Athletic Scholarships
Amount: Varies.
Eligibility Requirements: Athletic scholarships are determined by the coaching staff of each individual sport.

Art and Music Scholarships
Amount: Varies.
Eligibility Requirements: Art and music scholarships are determined by the individual department. May require an audition or a sample of your work.

Transfer students are eligible for scholarships that have been established exclusively for transfer students. Some scholarships are designated by the institution you are transferring from.
*Tuition remission awards do not apply to summer session courses and do not cover fees.

Not only do we offer the region's most affordable tuition, we provide generous financial aid awards to help defray your remaining costs. Many out-of-state residents even receive reduced tuition rates, or resident tuition rates, based on state of residency.
