2023-24 Meal Plans

Note: Costs below are for fall and spring semesters. Meal plans are not offered for summer term.

Residential Students

Block meals are affordable and convenient by allowing consumption of either 100, 190, 225, or unlimited meals per semester, depending on the plan picked, in the all-you-care-to-eat and continuous service main dining center. Of the set number of meals per semester, an unlimited number of meals may be used per meal period as long as there are meals available to use. Any unused meals will expire at the end of each academic semester.

Meal Plan Per Semester Per Year
Unlimited Meals - includes $150 flex dollars and two meal transfers per week $2,395 $4,790
225 Meal Block Plan - includes $350 flex dollars and two meal transfers per week $2,275 $4,550
190 Meal Block Plan - includes $250 flex dollars and two meal transfers per week $1,835 $3,670
100 Meal Block Plan - includes $300 flex dollars and two meal transfers per week
(available only to returning students and new transfer students)
$1,180 $2,360

Commuter Students

This plan is a convenience plan for non-traditional students and commuter students with a schedule that allows them the convenience of eating on campus occasionally. Non-traditional and commuter students also have the option of purchasing any of the residential meal plans listed above.

Meal Plan Per Semester Per Year
75 Meal Block Plan - includes $150 flex dollars and one meal transfer per week $870 $1,740
50 Meal Block Plan - includes one meal transfer per week $425 $850

Flex Dollars

Flex dollars and Cat Cash offer even more flexibility for the meal plan holder. Flex dollars and Cat Cash are accepted like cash in all WSC dining locations, as well as concessions. While they have different names, both are a declining balance account attached to valid WSC student IDs. Flex dollars are the dollars that are originally included with the meal plan. Cat Cash is any additional dollars added to the account when the original flex dollar balance gets low or simply in addition to the original flex dollar balance.

This declining balance account works on the same principle as a debit card. Purchases made using flex dollars or Cat Cash are subtracted from the available declining account balance. Meals and snacks may be purchased for guests through the flex or Cat Cash accounts.

Any remaining flex dollar balance carries over to second semester as long as the student has a meal plan for second semester. Cat Cash carries over as long as the student has a valid WSC ID.

Transferability

Meal plans are designed for eating meals in the main dining hall where it's all-you-care-to-eat, so you get the most value. Transferability allows you to transfer a meal from the main dining hall to the Cat’s Corner and Einstein Bros. Bagels retail areas. The transferability value is then used to purchase a meal or retail items. Should your purchase be in excess of the assigned value, you can use flex dollars or Cat Cash to cover the excess as long as that account balance is greater than the amount due. Cash or credit/debit may also be used if flex dollars are not part of the meal plan, the flex dollar balance is low, and/or a Cat Cash account has not been added to the meal plan.
