Senior Art Exhibit
View artwork by WSC seniors Haley Tavenner, Jayden Mitchell, Cheyenne Mangus, and Culleen Cerv.
“Personably Personal” features artwork by four Wayne State College seniors. Artwork celebrates life experiences, personal retrospectives, and relatable circumstances of the artists. The exhibit is free and open to the public through mid-January.
Exhibiting artists include art education majors Culleen Cerv of Clarkson, Neb., and Cheyenne Mangus of Albion, Neb.; studio art major Haley Tavenner of Kearney, Neb.; and graphic design major Jayden Mitchell of Dakota Dunes, S.D. Works involve mixed media, including two-dimensional artwork.
The artists drew inspiration from their conviction to destigmatize certain topics, and extract power from sharing their personal experiences. Viewers are invited to visualize the artists’ feelings, and have conversations on difficult subjects.
The gallery is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, and 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday. It is closed Saturday. Shows end at noon on closing day.
