Theatre Show: "Eurydice" (Matinee)

“Eurydice” recounts the classic Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice from the heroine’s perspective. The plot weaves Eurydice’s untimely death on her wedding day with her longing for her dead father, the yearning of separated lovers, and the desire to soothe suffering. Laced with love, sacrifice, and hope, the tragedy is sewn together by the power of language. “Eurydice” runs about 90 minutes. “Eurydice” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.

“Eurydice” is directed by Rusty Ruth, associate professor of theatre. Brian Begley, associate professor of theatre, serves as technical director and scenic/lighting designer. Mollie Young, adjunct professor of theatre, is intimacy director. Madison Dvorak of Grand Island, Neb is stage manager, with Victoria Harrington of Omaha, Neb. and Kore Quimby of Ralston, Neb. as assistant stage managers. Mariah Pleskac of Missouri Valley, Iowa is costume designer and Anna Kruger of Wayne, Neb. is costume shop manager. Katie Stodieck of Schuyler, Neb. is makeup design coordinator and costume assistant.
