The Yogic concept of Ahimsa is usually translated as “do no harm,” and this begins with self-care. Self-care is not selfish, it is essential for supporting our daily responsibilities and interactions with others. You don’t need an expensive spa vacation or special equipment to practice self-care. Learn a variety of simple, hands-on techniques and brainstorm other ways to develop a daily care routine for yourself without cost.
About the Presenter
Charissa Loftis is Northeast Nebraska’s only RYT500 advanced teacher of therapeutic yoga. She completed her RYT200 at Yoga Now in Omaha under the teaching of Susi Amendola. Her RYT500 was completed under the teaching of Joseph Le Page at the Kripalu School of Integrative Yoga Therapy, Stockbridge, Mass. Charissa has been practicing yoga for 13 years. Her yoga teacher training has been on-going for the past 10 years.
