Our adventure will begin on a transatlantic flight to Dubrovnik, a city on the Adriatic Sea in southern Croatia. You will see the amazing 16th century architecture of Dubrovnik, cruise to the most beautiful islands in the Dubrovnik archipelago, enjoy a winetasting, and go on an excursion to the Bay of Kotor, a winding bay in southwestern Montenegro. Traveling north to Split, a town on the Dalmatian Coast, we will explore a countryside village, see the Diocletian's Palace built by the Roman emperor in the 4th century, and tour Plitvice Lakes National Park, a chain of 16 terraced lakes joined by waterfalls that expand into a limestone canyon.
Travelers will visit the Istrian town of Rovinj, just announced by TripAdvisor as No. 8 on the Travelers' Choices Awards for Destinations on the Rise. We will travel to neighboring Slovenia and see the capital of Ljubljana, known for its green spaces and old town lined with outdoor cafes. An excursion to Lake Bled in the Julian Alps also awaits us. This glacial lake welcomes with its emerald green water and castle overlooking a cliff. Finally, Croatia's capital of Zagreb will charm you with Austro-Hungarian architecture, and you'll see the Gothic Cathedral, St. Mark's Church, the main square, and end with a farewell dinner at one of the popular restaurants in Zagreb.
Sunny coastal towns, fabulous food, beautiful beaches, and unforgettable countryside await you on this trip!
