Laura Dolezal Klutman

Laura Dolezal Klutman (Columbus Scotus) played volleyball at Wayne State from 2004-07. She was a First Team All-NSIC and Daktronics All-Central Region selection as a sophomore, junior and senior and was named the NSIC Libero of the Year in 2005 and 2006 (sophomore, junior). Dolezal Klutman holds virtually every dig record for Wildcat volleyball. Her 2,947 career digs are 777 more than second place Courtney VanGroningen. She also has the top three single season marks for digs at 818, 810 and 779. Her single season mark of 818 digs is 163 more than fourth place Courtney VanGroningen’s 655 during the 2015 Final Four season. Dolezal Klutman still holds the NSIC Tournament single match dig record of 46 digs in a four-set match vs. Northern State in 2005. She currently ranks tied for fifth in all-time digs in NCAA Division II history at 2,947 and she ranks 21st all-time in career digs per set at 5.82. Her play helped improved WSC from a 20-14 record as a freshman to a 30-8 record as a junior with three straight NCAAA Tournament appearances and the 2007 NSIC Tournament title. Dolezal Klutman excelled in the classroom with two NSIC Fall All-Academic honors. Laura Dolezal Klutman currently resides in Golden, Colorado with her husband Andrew and children Sawyer (3) and Willa Jo (2). She is a domestic engineer.
