Kaiti Williams

Inducted: 2018

Kaiti Williams was a standout softball player at Wayne State College from 2012-15. The first baseman and outfielder from Papillion-LaVista South High School is one of just three players in school history to earn All-NSIC honors all four years as a Wildcat, joining Sarah Herrick Wagenfuhr (1999-2002) and Katie Goetzinger Voth from 2008-11. Williams was a Second Team All-NSIC selection as a freshman and sophomore at first base, then moved to the outfielder and was First Team All-NSIC as a junior with a .440 batting average followed by Second Team All-NSIC honors in her senior season following a .399 average at the plate. Kaiti ended her playing career ranked first in career runs batted in (146), first in total bases (380) and first in doubles with 52. She was second in career hits at 252, trailing all-time leader Amy Sandstrom by just six hits, and is third in career walks with 74. Kaiti Williams posted a career batting average of .391 in her four years at Wayne State. Just three months after Kaiti graduated from Wayne State College in the spring of 2015, she passed away unexpectedly at the age of 22 from an irregular heartbeat. Her number 14 jersey was retired in the fall of 2015 and a banner with Kaiti’s jersey number can be seen today on the right field wall at the Pete Chapman Softball Complex in her memory. .
