Tyler Johnson

Tyler Johnson ranks as one of the greatest scorers and passers in men's basketball history at WSC, setting numerous records while sporting a Wildcat uniform from 1995-99. At the time of his induction in 2006, Johnson, a native of Hebron, Nebraska (Hebron HS), ranked second on the all-time scoring list with 1,625 points and was the all-time leader in assists with 610. In three of his four seasons, Johnson led the Wildcats in scoring and helped turn the WSC men's basketball program into one of the top teams in the North Central Region in the late 1990's. Johnson was a three-time All Nebraska selection by the Omaha World Herald. He averaged 12.3 points per game as a freshman, 16.0 as a sophomore, 15.7 as a junior and 15.0 points per game as a senior to earn All-American honors. During Johnson's senior season, he helped the Wildcats to a 23-5 record and the top seed in the NCAA Division II North Central Region. Johnson was inducted into the WSC Athletics Hall of Fame October 7, 2006.
