Mariann Borgmann Ingwersen

Marian Borgmann Ingwersen was a four-year letter winner in track and field at Wayne State from 1979-1983 and earned two All-American awards during her career. At the time of induction, she held the school record in the 200 meter dash (24.80 seconds in 1983) and ran one of the legs on the school-record 400 meter relay team in 1982. During her senior season, Marian finished seventh in the 200 meter dash at the NAIA National Meet. Borgmann Ingwersen was one of four runners on the 1982 800-meter medley relay team that placed fifth at the National Meet to earn All-American honors and she was one of four runners on the 1983 400-meter relay team that finished sixth at the National Meet in 49.01 seconds. Borgmann Ingwersen currently serves as a Professor in the Natural and Social Science Department at Wayne State and was inducted into the WSC Athletics Hall of Fame in the fall of 1996.
