John Manganaro

Manganaro served 20 seasons as coach with the Wayne State baseball program from 1990-2009. He was the head coach for 17 seasons and compiled an impressive career record of 506-309-1 (.620). Manganaro coached Wayne State to six straight Northern Sun Conference regular season titles from 2004-09 and guided the Wildcats to seven NCAA tournament appearances in his last nine seasons as head coach. He led the Wildcats to a pair of Regional Championship games in 2004 and 2009 and produced All-Americans in six of his last seven seasons as head coach. Under Manganaro Wayne State was the 12th winningest team in NCAA Division II during the 2000's going 368-157-1 (.701). WSC also developed one of the finest baseball facilities in the Midwest under Manganaro, the Pete Chapman Baseball Complex. Manganaro was inducted into the WSC Athletic Hall of Fame on October 8, 2011.
