Grady Hansen

Grady Hansen attended Wayne State from 1979 -1983 and became the school's all-time leading scorer in men's basketball with 1,942 points. The 6-6, 205 pound forward from Omaha Central was a First Team All-Central States Intercollegiate Conference and NAIA District 11 player during his sophomore and junior seasons at Wayne State. Hansen led the CSIC in scoring both seasons, averaging 19.8 points and 5.2 rebounds a game in his sophomore season with averages of 19.2 points and 6.7 rebounds a game in his junior season. Hansen finished his career with averages of 15.2 points and 5.4 rebounds a game, shooting 53 percent from the field and 72 percent at the free throw line. He still holds school records for most points in a season (673), most field goals in a season (289) and most field goals in a career with 832. Hansen was inducted into the WSC Athletics Hall of Fame October 4, 2003.
