Dick Manley

Dick Manley served as Wayne State's sports information director for nearly 20 years and is credited with beginning the sports records now on file at Wayne State College. Manley retired from Wayne State College in 1986 after nearly 30 years of teaching and 15 years as faculty advisor of the Wayne Stater. Manley began his teaching career at WSC in 1958, teaching English composition. He also ran the news bureau, sponsored the yearbook and did most of its photography. Dick Manley passed away on September 10, 2004 in Omaha at the age of 83. Manley was inducted into the WSC Athletics Hall of Fame's Hall of Contributions in the fall of 1986.
