Del Stoltenberg

Del Stoltenberg spent 14 seasons (1969-82) as the head football coach at Wayne State College, accumulating a record of 62-70-5 (.471). His 62 wins are the most by any coach in school history. At the time of his induction, Del led Wayne State to its only post-season appearance back in 1970, playing Franklin, Tennessee at the Mineral Water Bowl in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. Stoltenberg guided the 'Cats to 7-3 records in 1970 and 1977. He was rewarded with the NAIA District 11 Coach of the Year honor in 1970 and the Central States Intercollegiate Conference Coach of the Year award in 1977. Stoltenberg was inducted into the WSC Athletics Hall of Fame October 16, 2004.
