Connie Kunzmann

The late Connie Kunzmann was a prolific scorer for the Wayne State women's basketball program from 1975-1978, ranking either first or second in scoring and rebounding at Wayne State College at the time of her induction. She was a four-year letter winner and was second in career scoring (1890) and was the career leader in rebounding with 1,271. Kunzmann averaged 20.4 points per game in 1976-77 and scored 20.1 points per game in 1975-76. Kunzmann also played professional basketball for three years in the Women's Basketball League, first for the Iowa Cornets and then for the Nebraska Wranglers. She died at age 24 in Omaha. Kunzmann was inducted into the WSC Athletics Hall of Fame in the fall of 1986.
