Cindy Zelinsky

Cindy Stella Zelinsky lettered four years for the Wayne State College Softball team from 1979-82. She earned All-CSIC and NAIA All-District 11 honors during her senior season as a pitcher and during junior season helped Wayne State to a seventh place finish at the NAIA National Tournament. After WSC, Stella Zelinsky was a successful coach at the collegiate and international level including stops as pitching coach at Minnesota (1992-94) and started a program from scratch at Washington University in Missouri (1999-2005) and led the team to four NCAA Division III National Tournaments including a seventh place finish and 47-3 record in 2005. Her husband Steve was a standout football player during the same time at Wayne State and the two were inducted together into the Wayne State College Athletic Hall of Fame on September 28, 2013.
