Purchasing an app for a mobile device (Faculty and Staff)

Procedure Information:

When purchasing an application for a mobile computing device the purchase must be made using a personal credit card, not a state issued purchasing card.  If you would like to seek reimbursement for that app purchase you must meet the following guidelines:

  • Must be purchased on a state owned tablet/mobile phone 
    • Ex:  iPad, Motorola Xoom, iPhone, etc
  • The account used to purchase the application must be registered to a campus email address
    • Google will require you to setup a gmail address, your recovery email must be set to your WSC email address
  • The initial purchase must be made with your personal credit card
  • You must submit a copy of the credit card receipt and the email receipt of the purchase to accounting for reimbursement
    • Some App stores do not send a receipt for the purchase to your email, if you did not receive the email only submit the credit card receipt
  • You must also provide rational for the application purchase
