O365 (Office 2016) FAQs
What devices can I install Office 2016 on?
PC: Office 2016 versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher, and Access. Windows 7 or later required.
Mac: Office 2016 versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Office 2016 for Mac requires Mac OS X 10.10.
Windows tablet: Office 2016 versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher, and Access. Windows 8 or higher required. Office Mobile applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote) require Windows 10.
Windows phone: Office Mobile applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook Mail, and Outlook Calendar) require Windows 10.
iOS: Office for iPad® and iPhone® requires iOS 8.0 or higher. Office for iPad Pro® requires iOS 9.0 or higher.
Android: Office for Android™ can be installed on tablets and phones that meet the following criteria: running Android KitKat 4.4 or later version and have an ARM-based or Intel x86 processor.
How long can I keep my license for Office 365?
The agreement with Microsoft requires an active affiliation with Wayne State College. In other words you must be a current employee or active student enrolled in classes to be eligible for Office 365 Student Advantage through Wayne State College. You must also connect to the Internet once every 30 days to verify that you are still eligible for the program. When you are no longer employed at Wayne State College, graduate or are not enrolled in class, you will lose your license and all access to Office 365. When the license expires, you will retain read-only access to Office files and will be able to purchase other consumer or commercial offers through Microsoft.
I am an online student and don't come to campus. Am I still eligible to use Office 365?
Yes, you are eligible to use Office 365 as long as you are an active student enrolled in classes and you connect to the internet from somewhere, doesn't have to be on campus, using an active WSC email address/password every 30 days.
Will I have an Office 365 subscription over the Summer?
Returning students enrolled for a Fall class will have an Office 365 Student Advantage subscription over the Summer.
New students will have an Office 365 Student Advantage subscription after they enroll in classes.
Faculty members will have an Office 365 Student Advantage subscripion over the Summer if you have a contract pending for the Fall semester or if you have a Summer contract.
Staff will have an Office 365 Student Advantage subscription over the Summer.

How many devices can I install Office 365 on?
Each subscription license allows you to install Office 365 on up to five devices including computers, tablets and smartphones.
Which Skype do I use? Skype or Skype for Business
Skype for Business is not currently available for all WSC users. Even though Skype for Business will be installed with the Office 2016 suite, Skype for Business is not currently supported by our system. Continue to use Skype for your communication needs.
