Using Google Cloud Print

Installing Printing Programs

1. Download the Cloud Print application if the app is not already on your device.

2. Follow these instructions to add the campus printing queues:

Click this link to add the Sharp_BW_FollowMe and select the Add Printer button.

Click this link to add the Sharp_Color_FollowMe and select the Add Printer button.

Click this link to add the HP_BW_FollowMe and select the Add Printer button.

Click this link to add the HP_Color_FollowMe and select the Add Printer button. 

Note: This sends an email to your Gmail account for the first time you connect your Gmail account with WSC printers.

3. If this is the first time connecting your Gmail account with WSC printing, login to your Gmail account and click the link within the email sent from wscprinters@wsc.edu to verify your email address. Then, sign into PaperCut with your WSC network Username and Password. This will connect your Google account with your PaperCut account.

4. If this is not the first time you are adding a printer, you can confirm that the printer has been connected with your Gmail account by clicking on the Try it Now tab at the top right of the Google Cloud Print website. A window will appear with a list of available printers. Look for the printer you added.

 

Sending a Print Job

From Google Chrome:

1. Click the Share or Send and select Cloud Print to print the webpage you are viewing.

2. In the "Destination" section, click Change and choose the HP_BW_FollowMe, Sharp_BW_FollowMe, the Sharp_Color_FollowMe, or the HP_Color_FollowMe from the Google Cloud Print section.

Note: Sharp black and white printers are available in the US Conn Library and Sharp color printers are available in the US Conn Library and the Kanter Student Center. You can print in black and white using a Sharp BW printer.

3. To finish printing, go to the PaperCut Account Selection website and Sign in to release your item for printing. Then select the account to charge for your print job.

Note: If you do not sign into Papercut and select your printing account, you will receive an email in your Gmail account instructing you to login to address this print job.

4. Release your Print Job to Print.

To print from a different app:

1. You can print directly from the app by touching the Print icon at the top of the screen that looks like a printer.

2. Once you've selected the file you'd like to print, you can choose the HP_BW_FollowMe, Sharp_BW_FollowMe, the Sharp_Color_FollowMe, or the HP_Color_FollowMe from the Google Cloud Print section.

3. To finish printing, go to the PaperCut website and Sign in to release your item for printing. Then select the account to charge for your print job.

Note: If you do not sign into Papercut and select your printing account, you will receive an email in your Gmail account instructing you to login to address this print job.

4. Release your Print Job to Print.
