Connecting Wii logoto the Wireless Access Point

There are two possible ways your internet connection can appear. First, we will get to the internet connection. Then, set up the internet connection one of two ways. Make sure your Wii is connected to your TV, and is turned on.

1.    At the Home Page, move your cursor down and select the Wii Options in the bottom left-hand corner.Wii home screen


2.    Within Wii Options, move your cursor over to and select Wii Settings. Wii options


3.    Move your cursor over to and select the Arrow Over to move to the next page, Wii System Settings 2.Wii settings menu


4.    Within System Settings 2, move your cursor over to and select the Internet button.Wii settings 2 menu
5.    Within Internet, move your cursor over to and select Connection Settings.

At this point there are two ways your connection can appear. There can be no connection or a wireless connection has been created.

No Connection

6.    Within Connection Settings, select Connection 1. (You are going to set up the internet connection from the beginning.)

7.    Within Connection 1, select Wireless Connection.Wii connection settings no connection 2


8.    Next, choose the Access Point you want to connect to by selecting OK.Wii connection settings no connection 3


9.    Then, select Search for an Access Point.     Wii connection settings no connection 4


10.    Next, select WSC-Guest as your access point.     Wii connection settings no connection 5


11.    Then, click OK save your settings.

12.    Initiate a Connection Test by clicking OK.Wii connection settings no connection 7


13.    Click OK to Initiate a connection test.  Wii connection settings no connection 8


14.    Then, a screen will appear saying it is Testing Connection.Wii connection settings no connection 9


15.    Once the connection testing is done the Wii will take you back to the Connection Settings. You are done connecting your Wii to the internet. You can select Back to move to the previous screen until you reach the home page and begin to use your Wii Internet Connection. Wii connection settings no connection 10

If the connection is not working, Make sure you have registered your Wii on the Device Registration Page. (See the Device Registration tutorial.)

Wireless Connection

6. Within Connection Settings, select Connection 1. (You are going to test the established connection and make sure it works.)

8. Click OK to Initiate a connection test.

9. Then, a screen will appear saying it is Testing ConnectionWii connection settings wireless connection 4


10. Once the connection testing is done the Wii will take you back to the Connection Settings. You are done connecting your Wii to the internet. You can select Back to move to the previous screen until you reach the home page and begin to use your Wii Internet Connection.Wii connection settings wireless connection 5
