Board & Committees
Below is a brief description of all the different positions in
Student Activities Board. If you want to read a more complete

President:
Taryn Wolfe--
This position is responsible for ensuring that the organization
is run in an efficient and effective manner. It is the duty of
the President to ensure that the members have the resources they
need to accomplish their objectives. Finally this person acts
as an advocate for the organization with external entities.
Vice President:
Dave Parrish--
The Vice President is responsible for assisting the President
with all matters involving the organization. These two positions
work closely together to handle the day to day operation of the
organization
Student Programmer:
Beth Borkowski --
The Student Programmer is responsible for all matters concerning
planning, arranging, and managing of all entertainment events.
This person works extensively with the Executive Board and the
Director of Student Activities to ascertain what students want
for entertainment.
Assistant Programmer:
Vacant
The role of the Assistant Programmer is to help the Student Programmer
with the completion of their role in the organization. Like with
the Vice President, the Assistant Programmer works closely with
the Student Programmer to ensure that all the arrangements for
events are taken care of.
Secretary:
Holly Donahue--
This position involves keeping attendance at the meetings, submitting
minutes and keeping track of the incentive points for all the
members in the organization.
Treasurer:
Brittany Briscoe--
The Treasurer is responsible for maintaining the financial records
for the organization. And periodically during the school year
they need to report the financial position to the organization
and to Student Senate
Historian:
Vacant--
The role of the Historian is to keep a historical record of the
various events and activities that occur during the school year.
They are also responsible for taking pictures at the event and
then arranging it into a scrap book for presentation on recruitment
days.
Publicity Coordinator:
Lucas Rix--
This person has the responsibility for planning and distributing
all the publicity for all of the events that Student Activities
Board sponsors during the school year.
Concert Committee:
Vacant--
The role of this committee is to help the Student Programmer in
selecting the musical entertainment that is brought to Wayne State
College campus. It also assists the Student Programmer with the
annual Spring Concert event.
Films Committee:
Taryn Wolfe--
This committee plays an active role in selecting the different
movies that are shown on campus during the semester. This committee
is also responsible for advertising what movies will be showing
on the campus.
Lecture Committee:
Vacant

It is the role of the Lecture Committee to select speakers and
lecture programs that will be both interesting and informative
to the student body on the Wayne State College campus.
Multicultural Committee:
Vacant--
This committee is responsible for helping Student Activities Board
to bring diverse cultural/ethnic entertainment to campus. This
committee also serves as a liaison to other SAB committees to
provide input on various cultural/ethnic representation.
Off-Campus/Non-Trad Committee:
Taryn Wolfe --
The Off-Campus/Non-Trad Committee is responsible for communicating
the needs of off-campus and nontraditional students and to give
their input on what events should be brought to campus to meet
the needs of these constituencies.
Special Event Committee:
Taryn Wolfe & Brittany
Briscoe--
This is a very important committee which plans many special events
during the school year such as: Parent's Day, Fall Blast Week,
It's A Blizzard Out There Week, End of Winter Week, Dry Bar/Karaoke
Nights and many more. They also help out with many of the other
events sponsored by the organization.
Web & Technology Committee:

This committee is responsible for ensuring that Student Activities
Board stays current and uses technology in new and exciting ways.
The main purpose of the this committee is to maintain the organization
website and communication between the members.
Wildcat Day's Committee:

& Lucas Rix--
The role of this committee is to organize and plan the events
that occur during Wildcat Day's Week (Homecoming Week). This committee
works extensively with our organizations and the community. |
