STRIDE Staff | Sandra Driskell

I am the Learning Skills Specialist in the STRIDE/SSS program. My name is Sandra Driskell and I am one of the STRIDE/SSS advisors for students in the program. I teach in the Succeeding in College classes and am the lead instructor for our summer bridge program, Summer STRIDE. As Learning Skills Specialist I am prepared to help any STRIDE student with writing and editing papers, speech preparation, and research.

I have a background in English and math which I have taught at the high school level. My master's degree is in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in English. I am beginning doctoral studies at USD in Adult and Higher Education. I live on a farm south of Wakefield. My husband and I have two children. Dex, who is working for CVA in Wakefield, graduated from UNL last May with a degree in Agricultural Economics and Desiree is a senior at UNL majoring in Speech-Language Pathology.
