STRIDE Staff | Renee Krusemark

Hello! I am the Director for the STRIDE program at Wayne State College. STRIDE is a very unique, beneficial and close-knit group of students and staff. We are here to lead our students in success through college and beyond by academic assistance and much more. Please contact our office if you are interested or have questions about the STRIDE program.

As Director of the STRIDE program, I handle all the administrative work and supervision to keep the program within guidelines of the Federal TRIO Student Support Services programs. I also work as an advisor to the students, as well as assist the rest of the STRIDE staff in teaching our Succeeding in College and Choosing Academic Success clasess. My main focus is on establishing and maintaining effective relationships among our staff and students.

I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2003 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts. I joined the Marine Corps after graduating and spent four years and three months as a military journalist and public affairs representative. I finished my Master of Arts in English through National University in southern California in 2008.

I am currently working on my doctorate in interdisciplinary leadership through Creighton University. I also teach as adjunct English faculty at Northeast Community College.

When I am not working, I enjoy writing, drawing, and spending time with my family, especially my husband and our two sons, Brody and Sean.
