STRIDE Staff | Jeannine Wriedt

Jeannine WriedtHi!  I'm Jeannine Wriedt, and I am the Math Skills Specialist in the STRIDE/SSS program.  I have been with the program since January 1998, helping students be successful in math and in college.  My responsibilities in the STRIDE/SSS program include providing professional tutoring in math, serving as an academic advisor, serving as the chapter advisor for our Gamma Omicron Chapter of Chi Alpha Epsilon National Honor Society, and helping teach the GST 110 Succeeding in College classes.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education Degree from Wayne State College, majoring in math with a minor in chemistry, and a Master of Science in Education Degree from Central Missouri State University, majoring in Adult Education.  I spent a few years teaching math and science in 7th through 12th grades before turning my attention to Adult Basic Education and GED tutoring.  My time now is spent helping STRIDE/SSS students and teaching a math class for the Physical Science and Math Department.

I was raised in Omaha, but my family and I live in Wayne now, which is my husband's hometown.  I have two grown children and four grandchildren, who are the love of my life.  Stop by my office, and I will show you their pictures!  When I am not working, I enjoy researching my family tree and doing a variety of crafts.
