STRIDE Staff | Jeannine Wriedt

Jeannine WriedtHi! I'm Jeannine Wriedt, and I am the Math Skills Specialist in the STRIDE program. I have been with the program since January 1998, helping students be successful in math. My responsibilities in the STRIDE program include teaching GST 110 Succeeding in College, serving as the chapter advisor for Chi Alpha Epsilon National Honor Society, and serving as an academic advisor. I also conduct a study group for STRIDE students enrolled in MAT 110 Topics and Ideas in Math.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Wayne State majoring in math with a minor in chemistry, and a Master of Science in Education from Central Missouri State University majoring in Adult Education. I spent a few years teaching math and science in 7th through 12th grades before turning my attention to Adult Basic Education and GED tutoring.

I was raised in Omaha, but my family and I live in Wayne now, which is my husband's hometown. I have two grown children and three grandchildren, who are the love of my life. Stop by my office, and I will show you their picture! When I am not working, I enjoy researching my family tree and doing a variety of crafts.
