Program Eligibility

You may be eligible to participate in the STRIDE program if you are a legal resident of the United States; if you are enrolled or accepted for admission to Wayne State College; if you show a need for academic support to successfully pursue a program leading to a postsecondary degree; and you meet one of the following three criteria:

1. A member of a family who meets the income criteria as established by the U.S. Department of Education.

2. First generation student (meaning neither parent has a four-year college degree).

3. Can document a disability that significantly interferes with academic performance.
