Austin Donner

 

Austin is a 2010 graduate from Wayne State College with a B.S. in Exercise Science. Originally from Wausa, Ne., Austin is currently pursuing a Masters in Exercise Science in Education. He enjoys being outside along with cycling, rock climbing, and pursuing physical challenges for the mind and body. He spent his internship in Lancaster, PA working in Cardiovascular Rehabilitation where he observed a variety of procedures including open-heart surgery. He is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and National Strength and Conditioning Association and will be sitting for his CSCS in the near future. Amanda Arens

 

Amanda is a 2009 Briar Cliff graduate from Sioux City, Ia. She graduated with a B.S. in Sports Science and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Exercise Science. She played college softball all 4 years at Briar Cliff. Amanda is currently working on her thesis which is examining the metabolic changes taking place during sitting and standing. She is hoping to attend doctoral school after attaining her Master's Degree. In her free time she enjoys running, weight training, biking, drawing, playing softball, and baking. Ryan Devine

 

Ryan is a 2010 graduate of Hastings College with a B.S. in Exercise Science. He is originally from Cozad, NE and is currently pursuing a Masters in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Strength and Conditioning. He enjoys being active outside, such as sports (baseball and football and any sport in between), coaching, or training. He spent this summer interning at Grand Island Senior High School weight room with Coach John Swanson. Ryan Lennerton

 

Ryan is an HHPS Graduate Assistant from Langley, British Columbia. He has an undergraduate degree from Wayne State in Health and Physical Education.  He is pursuing a Masters Degree in Sport Management. Ryan is also in his 5th year as an assistant for the baseball team at Wayne State. He also served as an assistant coach at Galveston College from 2005-2007. Ryan played collegiate baseball at Eastern Oklahoma State College and the University of Arkansas and was part of the 2004 College World Series and SEC Championship team at Arkansas. Ross Bunchek

 

Originally from Valparaiso, IN; Ross is a 2010 graduate of Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin.  While at Carthage, Ross obtained his B.A. in Mathematics and is currently working towards both a Masters degree in Exercise Science and his CSCS.  In addition to his academic studies he was also a member of Carthage's Track and Field team, qualifying for both the Indoor and Outdoor NCAA DIII National Championships and setting a school record in the weight throw.  Last year Ross continued his throwing career by competing for the Wildcats in both the hammer (outdoor) and weight throw (indoor) events, setting new school records and earning All-American honors in both.  Now in his final year of collegiate eligibility Ross is again pursuing All-American honors as well as a qualifying mark for the 2012 US Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon this coming summer.  In his free time he enjoys music, hockey, football and competing in the Scottish Highland Games (pictured above).  WSC Contact: 402-375-7119, RI 013D

 

 

James Franken

James, originally from Sioux Falls, SD, is a 2011 graduate of Augustana College.  He played five years of football for the Vikings while earning a B.A. in both Communication/Business and Sport Management.  He is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Sport Management at Wayne State.  In his free time he enjoys watching sports, working out, golfing, and relaxing with friends and family.  He has interned with the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA Development League and has just finished working for the City of Sioux Falls. Jamie Keller

 

Jamie, originally from Scottsbluff, Ne, is a 2011 graduate from Chadron State College with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary studies with emphasis in health and recreational management.  Jamie is currently pursuing a Masters in Organizational Management with an emphasis in Sport Management.  He has studied abroad in British Columbia, Canada and recently completed a business internship with the Director of Student Activities, Laure Sinn, at CSC in event coordination and implementation.  He enjoys weight training, rugby, and hiking in his spare time.  He also participates in fine arts with music, drawing and writing.
