SPCJ: Academic ProgramsPsychology
Psychology is a behavioral science designed to provide a broad foundation of knowledge to meet the professional needs of students entering careers in the helping professions and other areas. The courses in psychology aid in individual adjustment, problem solving, social competencies, self-improvement and personality development.
Why Study Psychology at Wayne State College?WSC provides practical, applied learning experiences for psychology majors that supplement a solid core of course work. These experiences take the form of independent research with faculty members and cooperative education and internship experiences. Students also have the opportunity to present the results of their research efforts at various conferences, including the Great Plains Students' Psychology Conference and the Annual Convention of the Nebraska Psychological Society.
