The coaching endorsement is considered a special endorsement and must accompany a field endorsement or two subject endorsements. Students selecting this program are also responsible for completing general education and professional education requirements. This endorsement, obtained through the HHPS department, needs 9 hours of required classes and 9 elective hours of coaching theory courses from the following areas: football, basketball, track, wrestling, baseball, softball, and volleyball. It is recommended that students enroll in theory courses starting at the sophomore level.
