TASC - Scholarships & Financial Aid
Wayne State College is committed to providing a quality affordable education for its students. There are several types of financial assistance available for Wayne State students, including grants, loans, work-study, and scholarships. The aid packages are composed of money from Pell grants, SEOG grants, SSIG grants, Perkins loans, Stafford student loans, PLUS loans and a variety of scholarships. Freshman Scholarships available are:
CARL AND NORMA LINSTER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP This scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman industrial management major.
Amount: $365
KAY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP This scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman applied science major.
Amount: $165
Various scholarships that were available to current Technology and Applied Science Department majors for the 2007-2008 academic year were:
CECIL H. WRIEDT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP This scholarship is awarded to a sophomore, junior, or senior applied science major.
Amount: $285.00
DR. DON CATTLE ENDOWMENT FUND This scholarship is awarded to students attending Wayne State College and an Industrial Technology major. First preference shall be given to ITE majors in the semester they are meeting their student teaching requirements. Second preference shall be given to Industrial Technology Seniors.
Amount: $270
NETHERDA SCHOLARSHIP These scholarships are awarded to industrial technology majors.
Amount: $262.50 (Two awarded)
WILTSE SCHOLARSHIP This scholarship is awarded to applied science majors.
Amount: $262.50 (Two awarded)
IDA M. WARNER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP This scholarship is awarded to sophomores, juniors, or seniors that are family and consumer science majors.
Amount: $220
RAYMOND A. SCHREINER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP This scholarship is awarded to sophomores, juniors, or seniors that are applied science majors.
Amount: $220.00 Amount: $200.00 (two awarded)
FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCES ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP This scholarship is awarded to a student showing academic ability in the family and consumer sciences major.
Amount: $120.00
HUNTEMER SCHOLARSHIP This scholarship is awarded to an industrial technology major.
Amount: $105.00
