Honor Choir Schedule

 

Directors need not nominate full quartets.  This allows greater participation on the part of schools that cannot fill all four voice parts.  If you can send a full quartet, wonderful!  If you can send an extra tenor or bass to help maintain balance of parts, that would make the day even better.

 

It would help our planning if you send your nominations by Friday, December 9 (either electronically or via snail mail, with December 9 being the postmark deadline).  Last year’s choir was so large we almost had trouble seating everyone on stage for rehearsals.  It was a wonderful problem to have.

Nominationsneed to be received by Monday, January 23, in order for your students’ names to be listed in the program.

 

The cost of the Honor Choir is $10.00 per singer.  This fee covers the cost of the meal for the singers and a director or sponsor (minimum of four singers for the director’s/sponsor’s lunch to be covered).  Parents or others coming that day to observe are welcome, and can purchase their meal at the cafeteria if they wish to make use of the WSC food service for lunch. 

 

The music to be performed is listed below as well as on the enclosed schedule.  Although sectional rehearsals are shown on the schedule, your students will have a better experience that day if some time is spent looking at the music ahead of time.
