Wayne State College offers a number of Performance Opportunities for those who wish to pursue vocal performance. Students participate in state and regional National Association for Teachers of Singing (NATS) conferences, as well as local and regional vocal auditions/competitions. Each voice studio has a weekly masterclass led by trained vocal pedagogues and guest clinicians, and lessons are taught by instructors with local, regional, national, and international performance experience. Instructors of voice are trained in vocal pedagogy, with experience in interdisciplinary studies in communicative disorders.

Show Choir/Vocal Jazz Ensemble - Black and Gold
The Show Choir/Vocal Jazz Ensemble - Black and Gold is open to any student by audition interested in performing choreography, legitimate Broadway repertoire, and contemporary jazz arrangements.
The WSC Chorale is an ensemble consisting of members from the community as well as WSC students desiring to participate in a choral ensemble.
Voice faculty are members of the National Association for Teachers of Singing, the National Association for Music Education (formerly MENC), the Music Teachers National Association, the College Music Society, and the American Choral Directors Association.
The Wayne State Honor Choir singers are nominated by their school music directors and represent students with a commitment to performing music. The date for the 2011-12 WSC High School Honor Choir is Friday, February 3, 2012.
