Each spring semester the Language faculty, staff, and students create and host the annual Language Day event at WSC. Still extremely popular after more than 40 years, High School students each year come to campus by bus, van, and auto to participate in a fun and educational day focused on a language-related theme.
Attracting up to 300 participants, Language Day typically features individual and group student performances, student-produced videos, and posters created in a target language that result in prizes and recognition for outstanding student work. In addition, the day includes thematic programming; mini-lessons in less commonly taught languages such as Croatian, Mandarin, Portuguese, Swahili, Turkish, and Nepalese; and language games and group activities.
In addition to providing educational and enjoyable activities for visiting high school students and their teachers, the annual Language Day provides hands-on experience for WSC language students in planning large educational events.

Events for Fall 2013 will be posted in late August!
