Steven Elliot
Sculpture, Art Metals, and Fiber Arts (Design)
Steven
Elliott teaches Sculpture and Design at Wayne State College.
Born in Quantico, Virginia, and having lived on both coasts,
he considers himself to be a native of Kansas. After serving
on active duty in the Marine Corps, and extensive travel experiences
overseas, he received a B.F.A. degree in sculpture from the
University of Kansas in 2001. In 2003, he earned an M.F.A.
degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, where
he taught sculpture, drawing, and design. His work has been
exhibited both nationally and regionally. Recent exhibitions
include the Delaware Center for Contemporary Art in Wilmington,
Delaware, the Lawrence Art Center in Lawrence, Kansas, and
Washington Square in Washington, D.C.
