Marlene Mueller
Painting, Pottery and Ceramics, Drawing (Design)
Marlene Mueller teaches painting, ceramics, drawing, and art appreciation at Wayne State College. Born in Dayton, Ohio and raised in North Carolina, Mueller received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Limestone College in South Carolina and her Master of Arts and Master of Fine Arts from Miami University in Ohio. Prior to coming to Wayne State College Mueller taught at Hastings College (NE). She is a member of the College Art Association, the Nebraska Women’s Caucus for Art, the National Education Association and the art education organization F.A.T.E. (Foundations in Art Theory).
After completing a five-year term on the Board of Directors at the Sioux City Art Center Mueller was appointed to and continues to serve on the Visual Arts Exhibition Committee at the Norfolk Art Center. She is represented by Gallery 72 in Omaha and is a member of the Haydon Art Center in Lincoln. Mueller participates in local and regional art exhibitions and is preparing for a solo exhibition in May.
In addition to studio time in painting, drawing, and pottery, Mueller’s other interests include travel and volunteer work with the Wayne Volunteer Fire Department.
