Lori Newcomb
English Education
Lori Newcomb has lived her whole life in Nebraska. She earned her BAE and MSE from Wayne State College and is currently working on a PhD in 20th century American literature from the University of South Dakota. Most of her career has been in the Nebraska public school system, first at Newman Grove Public Schools and most recently at Elgin Public Schools.
Her interests include modern and contemporary American literature, gender studies, literary theory, and language arts pedagogy. She enjoys delivering conference papers and has presented on issues ranging from modern American theatre to the use of unconventional texts in the classroom.
