Bradley Weber

Percussion Instructor, Drumline


MR. BRADLEY WEBER is an adjunct Instructor of Percussion & Drum Line, Class in Percussion and Percussion Ensemble Director at Wayne State College. A graduate of Randolph High School, he holds advanced degrees from Wayne State College and the University of Wyoming. Mr. Weber is active as an adjudicator and clinician throughout Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota and serves as Instructor for the Nebraska Masonic All-Star Marching Band and the WSC Music Camps. He also served as the Instrumental Music Instructor at Wayne High School in Wayne, Neb. from 1986 to 2013.


Also an avid performer, Mr. Weber is a percussionist for the Crazy Eight Brass Band in Wayne, and substitutes as a trap-set drummer for the Columbus Jazz Orchestra in Columbus, Neb., and the Northeast Area Jazz Ensemble in Norfolk, Neb. He was formerly principal percussionist with the Sioux City Symphony and the Sioux City Municipal Band.


Mr. Weber been a music educator since 1977 and was selected by The Wayne Area Chamber of Commerce as Educator of the Year in 1999. He has held numerous positions on the Executive Board for the Nebraska State Bandmasters Association, the Nebraska Music Educators Association and was recognized with The Certificate of Merit for Marching Excellence from the National Band Association and the Nebraska State Bandmasters Association. The bands at Wayne High School routinely receive the highest ratings at District Music Contest and the Marching Bands have received Superior ratings at the marching competitions they have attended, including the NSBA State Marching Competition.


Weber continues to instruct percussion, drum line, and percussion ensemble at Wayne State College. In the fall of 2013, he also began teaching a Music History Class, "Topics in Music." Weber was recently presented the Nebraska Music Educators Association "35 Year Career Teacher Recognition Award" and the Nebraska Music Educators Association K-12 Exemplary Music Progam Award from the Wayne Community Schools Music Department. He received the Mid State Conference Coach/Sponsor of the Year Award in Instrumental Music in 2003 and 2013, and was presented the Nebraska State Bandmasters Association "Donald A. Lentz Outstanding Bandmaster Award in 2009, the highest award from the NSBA.. Mr. Weber was also presented the Wayne State College Arts and Humanities Department Outstanding Alumni Award in 2012.


Brad Weber is a member of the National Education Association, the Wayne Education Association, Music Educators National Conference, Nebraska Music Educators Association, Nebraska State Bandmasters Association, Phi Delta Kappa, Phi Beta Mu, Percussive Arts Society, and the National Band Association.


Weber and his wife Deb reside in Wayne and have three daughters; Melissa, Megan and Micaela, and six grandchildren; Brynn, Olivia, Carter, Gianna, Harper, and Nora.
