Five KWSC alumni work together at KLKN-TV, Lincoln, NE.

Jason, Jackie, and Tracey worked together on KWSC-TV News, on the public affairs show "Hot Topics." Jackie and Jason also produced the award winning "Clyde" series while they were in college.

Jackie and Jason applied at KLKN at the suggestion of former WSC instructor Bryan Gahagan, so networking while you go to school at WSC pays off!

 

Jackie replaced Carrie Ernst (1997) who is now a news producer at KMTV in Omaha, Nebraska. . While at WSC Carrie produced "Jaded in the '80's" a radio and television show with Matt Townley (1996) who is a commercial producer for CableOne in Sioux City, Iowa.

 

Mike White (1992) is the owner of White Tiger Martial Arts Academy in Sioux City Iowa. He is the Iowa State Chair of the American Athletic Union TaeKwonDo Program. Mike was the general manager of KWSC-TV in 1992 and developing educational programming with his wife Stacey who is a Wayne State graduate.

 

Dana (JOHNSON) Altman (1988) is the founder and chairman of North Sea Films, an entertainment development company. He lives in Omaha.

 

Brad Evert (1998) works for Cox Communications in Omaha, Nebraska, as a Public Affairs Producer. He has produced programming including work involving the College World Series, Iowa Blackhawk Arena football, and the Cox Classic Golf Tournament. Brad is also an actor who is involved in theater in Omaha and recently starred in an independent film produced by Maureen Carrigg and Zeke Brummels. Brad's future goals include to change the way people think about television and to someday tour the USA in a white & tan Winnebago.
