Alumni Newsletter
- Mike's Column

The 2006-2007 school year marked my third year at
Wayne State College and this newsletter records some
strong and positive accomplishments for K92.
Although several long-term and valuable staff members
graduated in December and May, the fall 2006 Radio
Production class is moving into the leadership of
the radio station, with several serving as directors
beginning in August. Advance enrollment for Radio
Production this fall is the largest CNA 162 class
I have taught so far. I am looking forward to an active
year in 2007-2008.
From a hardware point of view, the big accomplishments
of the past year were installation of a new FM transmitter
and a new programming automation system (see separate
stories about them in the news section). The school
and college administration showed their strong support
for K92 when they pulled together the funding for
the purchase and installation of our new Harris transmitter,
which went on the air just as alumni were gathering
for Homecoming in the fall, and purchase of the automation
system and related computer hardware.
If you have visited the K92 website recently, you
already know that the radio station logo has evolved.
The revised logo approved by directors removes the
squirrel in order to emphasize the guitar and the
music mission of the station more cleanly.
If you are in Wayne, please be sure to visit K92,
listen to our streaming web feed at K92.wsc.edu when
we return to the air this fall, and rest assured that
K92 continues to do a strong job of serving its audience!
