The production is directed by Dr. Gwen Jensen. Performances are at 7:30 p.m., Oct. 7-9. A Sunday performance will be presented at 2 p.m. Oct. 10.
"Fuddy Meers'' is produced in cooperation with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York, New York. There is no admission charge, however donations are gladly accepted during intermission. The play is suggested only for mature audiences due to some strong language and some mature subject matter. The story involves Claire, who has a rare form of psychogenic amnesia whenever she goes to sleep. Each morning her husband comes in with a cup of coffee, explains her condition and hands her a book of essential information. One morning a man in a ski mask appears and claims to be her brother. He says he wants to save her. Her book of information is quickly discarded. After she's hustled off to the house of her mother with impaired speech due to a stroke, Claire's journey gets more complicated when a thug with a foul-mouthed hand puppet pops up at a window. Her husband and son show up with a claustrophobic policewoman that they've kidnapped.
Every twist and turn in this funhouse plot bring Claire closer to revealing her forgotten past life. It's one harrowing and hilarious turn after another on this roller coaster ride through the day of an amnesiac trying to decipher her fractured life. This poignant and brutal new comedy includes a curio-cabinet of alarmingly bizarre characters.
