The Wayne State College Bike Club is sponsoring a family-oriented event called "The Wild Ride'' from 9 a.m. to noon April 26. There is no admission charge and the event will include registration, a bike ride and picnic. The Wild Ride, which will begin in the Gardner Hall parking lot, is open to students and families of all ages.
The ride is a scavenger hunt around campus, with the finish like the "Color Run." The first 50 riders will get T-shirts. Scooters, skaters and walkers are welcome and there will be a limited number of free bike rentals available. Everyone is welcome to enjoy a free lunch after the event.
A number of activities will be happening at Wayne State College on April 26, including a Spring Football game, baseball, soccer and a UNL-Creighton women's volleyball exhibition.
The event is sponsored by students of PED 310, WSC Service-Learning, Rural Futures Health Initiative, Providence Physical Therapy, Miss Mollys, Community Activity Center, Cleveland Bikes in Norfolk, Pac N Save, Wayne Off-Campus Bookstore and Complete Nutrition.
