PBS Correspondent to Speak At WSC on Feb. 4

The Wayne State College President's Council for Diversity and Office of Multicultural Affairs will host Fred de Sam Lazaro, a reporter for the PBS NewsHour and regular contributor and substitute anchor for PBS' Religion and Ethics Newsweekly. His presentations are scheduled for 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. to noon in Gardner Auditorium and an open forum from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Frey Conference Suite on Feb. 4. He will speak at the Wayne Public Library Senior Center from 5 to 6:30 p.m Feb. 3.
Lazaro is a Senior Distinguished Fellow at the Hendrickson Institute for Ethical Leadership at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and also serves as the director of the Project for Under-Told Stories, a program that combines international journalism and teaching.
He has reported from 57 countries over three decades and brings a wealth of experience in domestic reporting, notably in the area of health care.
