Wayne State Will Present "A Conversation on the Constitution" on Sept. 25 Published: 9-24-2012 10:30 am Wayne State College will present "A Conversation on the Constitution" at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, in Connell Hall 131 for Constitution Day 2012. The event is sponsored by Phi Alpha Theta, the History Honorary Society.
Dr. Michael Anderson, vice president of academic affairs at WSC, will discuss the Constitution as a living document and how it affects us today. He will answer questions and encourage students to rise to the challenge of participating in the Constitution Bowl to be held Oct. 23.
Educational institutions receiving federal funds from
the U.S. Department of Education are required by federal statute to
implement an educational program pertaining to the United States
Constitution, on a date designated by statute as Constitution Day and
Citizenship Day ("Constitution Day"). The day commemorates the Sept. 17,
1787, signing of the Constitution.
