Wayne State College's Campus and Community Service Collaboration (CCSC) program invites the public to take part in the first of two conversations in the CCSC Conversations Series from 7 to 9 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Wayne City Auditorium. These conversations among campus and community members are designed to discuss motivational belief sets and values.
Under the leadership of President Curt Frye and in collaboration with the City of Wayne, Wayne State College has joined with college campus communities across the nation to participate in service initiatives during the 2011-2012 school year.
Conversation participants will be welcomed by Wayne Mayor Ken Chamberlain. Guidelines for the session will be set by Wayne State President Curt Frye. Four students and four community leaders will begin the conversations by responding to questions posed by Student Senate President Joe Whitt, moderator of the event. The questions will address the topic of community building and service. The audience will have the opportunity to participate in the conversation.
The conversations will be enhanced with the opportunity to taste a variety of ethnic breads and hot drinks. Join your neighbors for a taste of cultural diversity and conversation around the table.
